Well, hey there folks!
It’s 8 days til Christmas.
SAY WHAT?!
And yes, I did put that in all caps.
I have so much wrapping to do.
SO.
MUCH.
Yes, I also had to all caps that.
But I won’t let the panic of having to wrap all the gifts in my guest room dull my shine.
And that is what we are going to talk about.
SHINE.
That’s right.
All caps that too.
But I digress.
Recently, I’ve been taking time on the couch in my Encanto blanket and get lost staring at the shine of the lights.
And with the staring, I lose track of time.
And I find the stress and chaos of the world or whatever happens to be going on around me, to just melt away.
Sometimes, when the lights are off in the apartment, I light a candle and sit on the couch and stare at the shine from the wick.
And just like the lights on the Christmas tree, I get lost in the shine.
And the troubles melt away.
When something in life doesn’t seem to be going right, I think about the candle light and the lights on the Christmas tree.
And I lose myself in the feeling of peace it brings.
When someone tries to darken my spirits, I shine brighter.
When someone tries to tell me I’m not enough, I decide to shine brighter.
I hope all of you will take moments in your life this week to lose yourself in the shine of a candle, the shine of the Christmas tree lights, or the shine from the moon in the night sky.
And I hope you will take those moments of shine to be bright for the people around you.
Don’t let anyone or anything dull it down.
Let your shine continue to be bright for the world.
Because there is someone out there who needs your shine.
And there is someone out there who loves and appreciates it too.
Sprinkle sunshine always,
JP!
